Steve is the West Coast course setter for Spartan Race. He and his team are to blame for the sequencing and placement of obstacles as well as the course setting.

From the festival area to equipment management they take a close look at what goes into some of the decisions behind how a course is laid out. In this Episode, Elijah sits down with Spartan Pro Team member Rea Kolbl. Rea is one of the rare people that excel in OCR despite having no running background in high school or college. In just 2 years racing as an elite, Rea has 10 race wins and 2 tops fives in NBC spartan Races.
Rea is also one smart cookie. She is currently working on her masters in Materials Science and finishing up her undergrad in Astrophysics and Physics. Learn how she uses her grit and perseverance to overachieve in the realm of academics and OCR.
